چکیده
Abstract A better understanding of the interaction between three phases is required when developing superconducting cables for high voltage AC systems. With a particular focus on energy losses real power transmission cables, in this paper we utilize so-called H-formulation Maxwell equations to devise 2D model triaxial cables. The major aim comprehend and reproduce experimental observations reported first prototype cable developed by SuperOx VNIIKP. computationally modelled prototyped made up 87 tapes 4 mm width tape arranged across phases. Our computational results are compared measurements performed VNIIKP with electrical contact method, showing degree accuracy over outer phase cable, whilst revealing technical issues at inner Thus, consultation it has been concluded that actual measurement phases, consequently overall sophisticated calorimetric setup must be built. Still our capable provide an independent assessment VNIIKP-SuperOx design, investigating magnetic profiles per time domain. In sense, confirm unbalanced arrange currents distancing affirmatively lead no leakages, therefore adequate balance cabling inductance.

An Investigation of the Current Distribution in an HTS Triaxial Power Cable and its Operational Impacts on a Power System
An investigation of the current distribution in a 3-phase triaxial superconducting cable was conducted to study the phase imbalance under steady-state operation and to assist in the construction of a transient model to study operational impacts in a power grid. The triaxial cable consisted of three superconducting concentric phases inside a copper shield, with each phase composed of multiple la...
متن کاملEnhanced quench propagation in 2G-HTS coils co-wound with stainless steel or anodised aluminium tapes
Early quench detection and thermal stability of superconducting coils are of great relevance for practical applications. Magnets made with second generation high temperature superconducting (2G-HTS) tapes present low quench propagation velocities and therefore slow voltage development and high local temperature rises, which may cause irreversible damage. Since quench propagation depends on the ...
متن کاملTri-axial Core Design of a Distribution System Class HTS Power Cable
A tri-axial HTS power cable has been proposed and developed to reduce the number of HTS wires because it has copper shield instead of HTS shield. However, it has a drawback which is an inherent imbalance problem due to an asymmetry configuration in the cable. The authors designed a 22.9 kV/50 MVA class tri-axial HTS cable. The inherent imbalance problem of the three-phase currents in the tri-ax...
متن کاملComputational modelling
Many models of reading assume that visual word recognition is driven by a competitive activation process. In these models, the effect of a masked prime is to manipulate the competitive process by shifting the balance between the target stimulus and its competitors. Computational modelling makes it possible to explore these effects in detail. To this end, the present chapter develops a precise d...
متن کاملComputational modelling.
Computation modelling is playing an increasingly accepted and important role in neuroscience. It is not a unitary enterprise, though, and the distinction between two different sorts of modelling, one interested in description and the other also in function, is illustrated by their application to activity-dependent developmental plasticity and adult conditioning.
